Industrial CASE Partnerships (ICP)
Our vision is to provide PhD students with a first-rate, challenging research training experience within the context of a mutually beneficial research collaboration, between academic and partner organisations.
The Industrial CASE Partnership (ICP) programme awarded a block allocation of four-year studentships to strategic industrial partners for intakes in the academic years 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17. Awards were made to strategic industrial partners having established track records in collaborative doctoral training with BBSRC.
For further information about the ICP programme, please see 'Frequently asked questions' and 'Process for confirming project outlines' in the downloads section.
Note: BBSRC Training Grant FAQs and BBSRC Guide to Studentship Eligibility documents are no longer available. Please refer to the UK Research and Innovation: Grant terms and conditions for the relevant information.
Studentship allocations through the ICP programme have now been completed and will be replaced by the Collaborative Training Partnerships programme from 2017/18 onwards.
This programme is one of the main ways in which we fund collaborative training and enables companies to better integrate industrial CASE studentships into their planning cycles.
NOTE: Students are advised not to contact individuals directly, rather to search for studentship opportunities through research organisations.
