BBSRC Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy Phase II community meeting

Date: 17 January 2018
Venue: TBC
Invitation only

Organised by BBSRC.

BBSRC are holding a community meeting which aligns to the Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy Phase II call on 17 January 2018, venue still to be confirmed.

The community meeting will bring together researchers from across a wide-range of disciplines to discuss research challenges and opportunities associated with Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy in the context of networking activities.

The aim of the community meeting is to:

  • share the vision and current plans for the next phase of Networking activities
  • seek input on key challenges and opportunities as well as feedback on our approach to implementation
  • facilitate cross-disciplinary networking and the formation of consortia for the BBSRC Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy call (to be launched December 2017).

How to register

BBSRC would like to enable a broad range of researchers with interest in activities related to Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy to attend the community meeting, with particular encouragement for researchers with experience of working across disciplinary fields.

Any consortia wishing to submit an expression of interest (EOI) must attend the community meeting and present their proposed Network to the meeting.

Registration for the community meeting is via a Key Survey at the BBSRC NIBB Phase 2 Community Meeting registration page.

Registration for the community meeting will close at 5 January 2018, 17:00.

Space at the community meeting is limited, therefore attendance will be reviewed by an internal selection process to ensure a broad representation of organisations, expertise and current BBSRC NIBB membership (if applicable). Your attendance will be confirmed by 12 January 2018.

Please note that application to attend will be regarded as confirmation of your availability to attend and that BBSRC is unable to pay travel and subsistence costs for community meeting attendees.
