BBSRC/NERC Joint Call in Aquaculture: Collaborative Research and Innovation Call Launch Workshop

BBSRC is organising this workshop with NERC.


The UK Aquaculture Initiative is a joint BBSRC and NERC initiative to support high-quality, innovative research and research translation within a growing community of people working together towards a mutual goal of developing a healthy, safe and sustainable UK aquaculture system.

BBSRC and NERC will shortly announce a call for applications in aquaculture research. For more information, see: Pre-announcement: BBSRC/NERC Joint Call in Aquaculture: Collaborative Research and Innovation.

This call launch workshop will provide:

  • Information and Q&A around the funding call
  • Opportunities for networking and consortia building.

Industry representatives and Early Career Researchers in attendance at this event will have the opportunity to give 3 minute presentations on their area of work and research interests in order to facilitate networking.

How to register

Registration for the workshop is now open, see: Key Survey: Aquaculture Collaborative Research and Innovation Call Launch Workshop 2017 (read our Terms of use: Key Survey). Registration closes on 29 November 2017. All attendees will be expected to submit a short summary of their research interests and expertise in order to facilitate networking at, and after, the event. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, however BBSRC/NERC reserve the right to manage the balance of attendees.

Attendance at the workshop is not mandatory, however applicants to the call are encouraged to attend. Applications to the Collaborative Research and Innovation Call will be accepted from any eligible researcher and you do not need to attend the workshop in order to apply.
