Reporting your research outcomes using researchfish®
We use the researchfish® online system to collect information on the outputs, outcomes and impacts that have arisen from BBSRC-funded research and training.
All recipients of BBSRC funding are required to report emerging outputs, outcomes and impacts for the duration of their awards and for up to five years beyond.
Outcomes can be entered into researchfish® at any time, but once a year there is a formal submission period when researchers are required to confirm that their outcomes information is accurate and up-to-date. The next UK Research and Innovation submission period will take place between 4 February 2019 and 14 March 2019.
Understanding the outcomes of our research investments is essential for us. It helps inform the development of our strategy, and enables us to demonstrate the high quality of research we support and its wider benefit to society and the economy. The information is vital to ensure that we can make a strong case to government for continued public investment in bioscience.

Data entered into researchfish® are made publicly available through the UK Research and Innovation Gateway to Research portal. Researchers are therefore asked to exercise appropriate care and quality control.
Please note that final reports are no longer required on BBSRC grants, unless explicitly stated in the grant terms and conditions.
